报告摘要:
ECL is the light emitted by the excited state of a luminophore upon an electrochemical reaction (i.e. without photo-excitation). The initial electron-transfer reaction occurring at the electrode surface triggers a cascade of reactions involving energetic intermediates that leads to the formation of the excited state and in fine to the photon emission. Thus, ECL crystallizes the beauty and complexity from both electrochemistry and photochemistry. Historically, ECL has progressively evolved from a lab curiosity to a powerful bioanalytical technique with an extremely low background that is successfully used for the clinical diagnostics.
In the last decade, ECL has evolved further to a powerful microscopy method. Various configurations have been developed by playing with the light and the dark in order to see conductive or non-conductive objects, with or without a labeling step. In a first part, the molecular aspects of the ECL process will be discussed with the development of ultrasensitive ECL detection in bioassays. In a second part, new ECL approaches such as surface-confined microscopy and shadow ECL microscopy will be presented to extend the performances of ECL imaging.
报告人简介:
Professor Neso Sojic is a Professor of Chemistry at the University of Bordeaux, France, and leads the Analytical Nanosystems Group at the Institut des Sciences Moléculaires (ISM). He received his Ph.D. from École Normale Supérieure and Université Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris VI) in 1997, followed by postdoctoral research at the University of Texas at Dallas. His research spans spectroelectrochemistry, electrochemiluminescence (ECL), nanoelectrochemistry, and nano-imaging.
Professor Sojic has received several distinctions, including the Medal of the Analytical Chemistry Division of the French Chemical Society and the 2024 Innovation Prize of the French Chemical Society. He is currently an Associate Editor of Chemical & Biomedical Imaging and coordinates the CNRS-funded international research network ELECTROSENS involving French and Chinese laboratories. He has authored more than 250 peer-reviewed papers, 11 book chapters, one book, and seven patents, with over 8,000 citations and an H-index of 60.
